DATES MENTIONED IN HOLY BOOKS

NOBLE QURAN (Surah - Maryam, Verse 23-25)

And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm tree. She said, "Oh, I wish I had died before this and was in oblivion, forgotten."

But he called her from below her, "Do not grieve; your Lord has provided beneath you a stream.

And shake toward you the trunk of the palm tree; it will drop upon you ripe, fresh dates.


HADITHS ON DATES

The Prophet [PBUH] said, "He who eats seven Ajwa dates every morning, will not be affected by poison or magic on the day he eats them."
(Sahih Bukhari: Vol 7, Book 65, Number 356)

The Prophet [PBUH] said, "If somebody takes seven Ajwa dates in the morning, neither magic nor poison will hurt him that day."
(Sahih Bukhari: Vol 7, Book 71, Number 664)

Aisha reported Allah's Messenger [PBUH] said, "The Ajwa dates of Aliya (village near Madinah) contain heating effects and these are antidote in the early morning."
(Sahih Muslim: Book 23, Number 5083)
